About the Tour
Based in Eastern Indiana and Western Ohio, Edgeway Junior Golf Tour holds 8 golf tournaments, throughout the summer, for boys and girls aged 10-17. There is a one-time, $5 membership fee to enter into all 8 events. After that, there are NO ENTRY FEES. The tour’s low cost is purposeful in giving any junior, interested in playing golf, a chance to do so.
Each event has 4 divisions for both boys and girls (8 total). They are as follows: 10-11 boys, 10-11 girls, 12-13 boys, 12-13 girls, 14-15 boys, 14-15 girls, 16-17 boys, and 16-17 girls.
To sign up, simply call the tournament course pro shop and ask to enter into the Edgeway JGT event at least a week prior to the tournament.
Continuing His Legacy
Edgeway JGT, formally known as Eastern Indiana JGT, was founded in 1990 by the late PGA Head Professional Ron DeMao. Ron had a profound love for teaching juniors the game of golf. During the summer season, every Friday, he held a junior class making sure that each child had one club and ball of their own. Ron established the Richmond city junior golf tournament; and, later, made sure that all juniors would be allowed to compete in the Richmond City Amateur Championship regardless of financial wellness.
His love for the game and passion for his young students drove him to create a “free” junior golf tour. Ron wanted to give the next generation a way to play and learn from the game he loved without any financial barrier. In 1995 he was awarded the PGA Junior Leadership award by the Indiana PGA. He was proudly certified In 1996 as the 134th Master Golf Professional, an honor earned by only a few hundred golf pros from the over 25,000 now in the profession. In 1996 Ron was honored by then-Governor Evan Bayh with the Sagamore of the Wabash award, the highest civilian honor in the state of Indiana.
Despite passing away March 12, 2022, his legacy still remains in his students, tour, family, and all those touched by his generosity. If you or anyone you know would like to help continue his legacy, please consider donating to the The Ron DeMao Foundation; benefiting junior golfers.

We play by the rules—but keep it fun and fair! Here’s what to know:
All USGA rules apply
Ball rolling allowed: You may roll your ball one unfolded scorecard length, no closer to the hole (except in hazards).
Double par pickup rule: If you reach double par, pick up your ball and move on. Post your score as double par.
Pin in or out: Player’s choice.
Scorecard swap: Ages 14+ should swap scorecards with another player in their group.
Turn in your score: Add up your total, sign your scorecard, and turn it in at the scoreboard.
Tiebreakers: Ties are settled by a scorecard playoff, starting with the #1 handicap hole.
Local rules: Always follow any specific course rules or guidelines.

Due to the volume of golfers and the way pairings are organized by age and experience level, we’re not able to accommodate special tee time requests. We truly appreciate your understanding.
